To Be but Not to Be

By then I was gone. I was
Here where I am. You can see
This me, since you’re here as well,

But the rest of them don’t know
Where I am, where I went, or
That I am at all. They can’t.

For them, the truth is, I’m not
Here, and they would have to say
It was a lie if you came

Back from the dead to tell them,
Hey, you saw me here, not dead,
Not gone at all. That’s the trick.

But, yes, it’s too bad for you
That you’re here, too. So. Now what?
What do you want me to do?
